"My beautiful rainbow butterfly. Ever since the first time she had her face painted, she began to come out of her shell. Now, whenever she has the chance she gets so excited and I can see the confidence in her eyes."The Rosetown Harvest Family Festival is such a wonderful event for our community. There are activities for every age, and we look forward to it all year long.We have been taking Sofia to the Harvest Festival for a few years now and I have noticed changes in her each year. The first year we brought her she didn't want to do much, she just took it all in. I remember her being scared of the mascots and watching the parade from the sidelines, covering her ears when the fire truck blew its horn.This year she was a like a completely different kid. She held her bag out eagerly for candy at the parade, wanted to jump on the bouncy castles over and over, and she ran from activity to activity.The one thing that hasn't changed is getting her face painted. She has always loved it, and has sat quietly and patiently every time. She's been a ladybug, a cat, Elsa and a rainbow. This year she wanted a sparkly butterfly, and she just glowed afterwards. It just makes me so happy to see the joy on her face xo
