Unexpected wonderful things that happen during a newborn session at home
You already know how special newborn photos are. You've seen your friends' photos or you have been researching photographers for a while. Maybe you're on the fence about booking an in-home newborn session.
I know there are questions.
What will it be like having a photographer in our home? How do I have to prepare? What if the baby is fussy or needs to eat?
I can answer all of these questions, and what's even better is that I can tell you that at home sessions can be so relaxed that you won't have to worry about anything.
Basically, I come to your home and ooh and aah over your baby for a bit while we get to know each other. Then you hold that little bundle and I snap photos of you together. There are cuddles and kisses and swaddles, and you don't have to worry about anything because you're just being together.
An in-home newborn session is for families who love being together. It's for families who know and love that they are imperfect, and see the beauty in that.
If baby spits up, I'll capture you wiping his chin. If he's fussy and needs to eat, I'll document the feeding. When he cries (because all babies cry), I'll photograph mama soothing him, wrapping her arms around him and whispering softy.
There is nothing I love more than seeing real life and catching those memories for you.
And sometimes there will be magical moments. A little smile (maybe it's gas, maybe it's not), a big yawn, daddy's hands making his little one look so tiny and so protected.
Yeah those things are pretty normal, but to me they are magic. Because they tell your story and your story will evolve as your baby grows, and you don't want to miss a thing.
