Fredericton and Oromocto have so many amazing women-run local businesses! When I moved here, I started searching for every one I could find, partly because I wanted to support as many as possible but also because I wanted to find someone I could collaborate with. The Luna Baby Pillow was the perfect fit.

I was so lucky that it found me.

The perfect team

Let me back up. In June of 2018 I attended the first event for the Happy Hour Club, an incredible event for women in business in Fredericton. The HHC chose me to be the photographer for their second event. That's when I got to know the owner, Courtney Larkin.

This woman is so amazing! She has so many ideas and wants to support as many women as she can. My experience as the photographer for the HHC event helped me book sessions, a wedding and meet some pretty awesome ladies too.

Courtney just happens to own a second business, Luna Baby, and makes the most perfect nursing pillows. She approached me after the HHC event and asked if I wanted to collaborate with her. Of course I was thrilled because this product is perfect for my newborn and baby clients!

So we sent out a model call looking for moms to do some photo sessions with the Luna Pillow. The response we got was so great, and we found some wonderful mamas to work with.

This is one of our model call sessions. Marie is a mom of two beautiful girls, and she's also the owner at East Coast Chiropractic in Fredericton. She's a busy mom and business owner and she was perfect for our first session with the Luna Pillow. She welcomed us into her gorgeous home and spent some time nursing, cuddling and playing.

It was really perfect because it was so relaxed, just how all my sessions are and a little snapshot of their real life. Mom feeding baby while big sis plays around her. It really showed how versatile the Luna Pillow is!
