Week 47, Colours of the rainbow | 2014 Project 52

February 3, 2015

“Our house is filled with colourful toys. It makes me happy to watch my girls play and learn.”

This one is pretty self-explanatory. With two girls, there is a lot of pink in our house. Sofia’s bedroom is PINK, and she has colourful letter blocks on the floor. Before she was born, when we didn’t know whether we were having a boy or a girl, we painted her room green because we wanted it to be neutral. After she was born we added girly accents. But when we moved to a new house, we let her pick the colour and of course, it was pink. I kind of love that she’s a girly girl.

With Grace, we knew we were having a girl, so I wanted to make her room girly right from the start. I found purple curtains and painting one wall a matching colour. I’m sure as she gets older she will add whatever colours she wants, but for now, I love her sweet purple room.

And then there are the toys. Everywhere. In every colour. But you know what? They brighten up our house. When the toys are gone, I will miss the colours.
