The Hollick Family | New Brunswick Lifestyle Photographer

May 9, 2017

Back in October we got an early taste of winter. But that didn’t stop the Hollick family from inviting me out to their home near Herschel to take some updated family photos. When I arrived it was pouring down rain and the snow was slowly melting. I was disappointed that we wouldn’t get to go outside for photos, but didn’t mind shooting inside where they had some beautiful natural window light streaming in despite the overcast day.

The most special part of this session was that there were so many generations there. We made a point of getting lots of photos with great grandma, because I know how important and special those images will be as the kids grow up. I love the sweet moments I was able to capture between the oldest and youngest family members.

After a while we realized that the rain had stopped, so we venture outside. Yes it was wet and gloomy, but that really didn’t matter much. We had so much fun getting group shots and even having a snowball fight! I really love when families are up for anything and don’t get a little bit of bad weather ruin their photos. I mean, how many people can say they had their family photos taken when there were yellow leaves on the trees AND snow on the ground? That’s pretty unique if you ask me!

I had such a great afternoon with this sweet family. I am thankful to them for welcoming into their home and letting me capture their beautiful memories for them.
