This will be my second year doing Motherhood Sessions in May. I loved it so much last year that I wanted to make it even better for 2021. Here is everything you need to know about what to expect, how to book and more on this year’s exclusive event.
Where: Anniversary Park, Oromocto
When: The evenings of May 22 and 23. Rain dates will be the following weekend.
Who: Sessions are open to expecting mothers or women and their children only (no spouses or extended family please!)
What: Sunset sessions! This year I wanted to make this sessions extra special and hold them in the evening. If we are lucky we’ll get some gorgeous golden hour light. Even if we get cloudy skies, this time of day is the prettiest! Like all of my sessions, these will be simple and focus on connection between moms and their littles. No props are needed but I will bring along some blankets to sit and snuggle on.
I have a limited number of these sessions available, due to the time of day. There will be a short time between each session, and each session will be 25 minutes long.
Each session includes 10 digital images that you will choose from a private gallery, plus a special gift card for a local business, more on that below.
Sessions are $150.
A $50 retainer will be due at the time of booking and the remaining $150 is due before the session date. Approximately one week after your session you will be sent an online gallery to view your best images. You will select your 10 favourites to download with full printing rights. There will be the option to upgrade to the full gallery and you can order prints directly through your online gallery as well a la carte.
Motherhood Sessions go on sale to my email list on Friday, April 16th at 10 am. Sessions will be open and available to the public and the booking link will be shared via social media on Sunday, April 18th.
There are limited spots available and I’m expecting the event to sell out.
This year with my Motherhood Sessions I am including a $20 gift card to Basic Moms. Two busy moms own this shop. They carry everything from clothing to bath products to toys to jewellery, and so much more.
Finally, I want to answer my most frequently asked question from my clients. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? First of all, you need to be comfortable! Don’t feel like you have to dress up if that’s not you. Be yourself, wear your favourite outfit! If you still feel lost, you can have a look at my Pinterest board for inspiration!
A few simple thinks to keep in mind: Try to coordinate instead of matching. Consider complimentary colours. Mix patterns and solids. No bright colours or logos or characters. Pick a neutral and two colours, or one colour and a pattern. If you need help, reach out to me!
Have a look at a sunset family session I did at Anniversary Park in the summer. They did a great job of coordinating their outfits!
