George & Robin | Weddings

December 11, 2014

George and Robin’s wedding day started out gloomy and rainy. I showed up at Robin’s family farm that morning, and was blown away by how beautiful it was, and despite the weather everyone was busy setting up for their outdoor ceremony.

The ceremony was to be in the garden surrounded by sunflowers and apple trees, with vintage and homemade details that made it even more special. One of my favourite parts of their day (aside from the super fun couple themselves) was all the amazing details. There were handmade pennant flags and signs, a fun frame photo booth in the trees, old doors as a backdrop for the ceremony, and don’t get me started on the reception. Robin told me their theme was a mish mash of everything they love. What a great idea! From their favourite books to paper flowers that Robin made herself, to Doctor Who to go cups as favours, it was perfection.

I was so excited that Robin and George wanted to do a first look. There is nothing more awesome than capturing the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. It was intimate and sweet.

After the first look, we took some photos by the lake, and then headed back to the farm where we did more photos in a sunflower field. It was amazing! And just like we hoped, the rain stopped and the clouds parted, just in time for the ceremony.

The thing that I noticed most about Robin and George was how much support and love they have around them. The speeches even made me tear up! They are very lucky to have wonderful families and friends surrounding them.

There was so much more fabulous-ness about this wedding, but I will leave you to see for yourself.

Robin and George, it was a privilege to photograph your day, and I am so happy for you both xo
