I can’t believe it’s been a month since my last post! This pregnancy (and this summer) is flying by. Since we’ve been back from our holidays, life has been very busy. Between working, packing for our move across town (bigger house yay!), trying to fit family time in there, we haven’t stopped much.
These days I’m feeling pretty good, but more and more tired every day. I’ve had many comments that I look “ready to pop”, even though I still have 10 weeks to go. And even though our doctor told me that she thought the baby was small, measuring around 25 or 26 weeks when I was at 28 weeks. She is sending me for another ultrasound this month. She said everything seems fine though, as far as heartbeat and movement goes.
Speaking of movement, this girl is a mover! Pretty much all day long, but especially first thing in the morning as I wake up (she’s giving me my wake-up call I guess), and as I’m trying to fall asleep at night. I love the feeling and trying to guess how she is laying and which parts are poking me, but sometimes it hurts! I try not to complain about that part of it because I know how much I will miss it later.
Still, I’m getting excited to hold this girl in my arms. One day last week it finally hit me that we are going to have another baby in the house. Maybe it was when we were painting her room purple, or when Sofia declared “baby!” and came running up to kiss my belly goodnight. We’ve got all kinds of worries about how Sofia will adjust and how we’ll get used to no sleep again, but mostly we are getting excited. We even started talking about names and may have made a decision, although we won’t tell anyone until we meet our girl and know for sure that it’s the right one.
I’m taking it one day at a time, trying to take it easy but also working hard to get everything was done that needs to get done. It’s a busy time for us, and while I’m exhausted just thinking about it, I’m also enjoying every minute (well ok, most minutes haha).
