“Sofia brought home this craft she made for me at school for Mother’s Day – a butterfly with her feet prints for wings. It almost brought tears to my eyes. She was so proud of what she’d created and so excited to give it to me. Seeing that smile on her face makes my heart so happy.”
Mother’s Day was especially special for me this year. I am now the mommy to two beautiful girls and they are constantly surprising me. All-day long on Sunday Sofia went around saying “Happy Mother’s Day!” It was the cutest thing.
It wasn’t the day I had planned. We were hoping to go to the zoo and spend the day outside, but the weather did not cooperate. But I decided I needed to have some photos with my girls on this special day. So we went outside despite the cool wind and I handed my camera to my husband. He caught these two shots, and to me they are perfect. I am a perfectionist when it comes to client photos, but with my own family, I am just happy to be in some shots. It’s always a challenge, but I am determined to make it happen.
Bad weather, changed plans, didn’t change the fact that I felt loved on Mother’s Day. I am the luckiest mom on earth xo
