We are so lucky to have neighbours who have become friends. During the pandemic, one of the hardest things for us to was to not spend time with them. So when our province of New Brunswick said we could have a “bubble” family we were so excited. Finally we could have games nights and suppers and a backyard fire together.
It was mostly exciting for the kids. Well, I won’t lie, I did celebrate with a glass of wine with my friend. But the kids, they had been stuck inside for so long with no friends to play with, and knowing they were so close yet so far.
So we go out the marshmallows, started the fire and gathered for some fun.
Messy fingers, perfectly roasted marshmallows, taking a break to play. It was a perfect evening.
I can’t say just how much I missed seeing my kids so joyful, being with friends and getting to document it all. I’m so thankful for every minute we get to have times like this. Because we never know how long it will last.
