Let’s go back to early fall, when the leaves hadn’t started changing yet and the early evening air was warm and comforting. I had just discovered a trail near my house in Oromocto, with tall trees, a covered bridge, and a pond to throw rocks in. It was the perfect place to take family photos. So I met Steve, Monica and their two daughters there for an evening stroll.

I knew this sweet family before I met them for their session. We met through my brother and sister-in-law, and our girls became fast friends. So I already knew going into their session that it would be fun. Big sis Carmen is always a bit shy when she first sees me, but she quickly got used to me taking her picture and soon enough I couldn’t get her to stop posing for the camera.

We hung out by the water and threw some rocks, then I got them cuddling on a quilt. Carmen was busy and wanted to explore, so I just chased her around and let her do her thing. Meanwhile, Marcy was all smiles as she lay on the quilt, loving the camera and the attention.

It was such a beautiful evening and I love all the real moments I captured. There were giggles and cuddles and lots of love. That’s pretty much the best thing I could ask for.

[…] amazing sessions this fall, and this was one of them. I adore this family. I did photos for them last year at the Oromocto Wetlands, so it was extra fun to see the girls a bit more grown up. This time around we met at one of my own […]
