When a couple’s engagement session involves climbing hills, campfires and horses, you know their wedding is going to be pretty special. Ross and Carleen’s did not disappoint!
They had a simple church wedding, but nothing about their day was boring. From the colourful bridesmaid dresses and cowboy boots, to the reception held on top of a hill overlooking a valley, it was a beautiful and classy country wedding full of rustic details.
But it was the moments throughout the day that made their wedding even more special. First, Carleen gave Ross quite the epic gift that he opened as he got ready with his groomsmen. It was a heirloom ring that she had recreated especially for him and tickets to the Brier in Newfoundland later this March. The afternoon was spent touring around the Unity area finding the most amazing locations for photos. Carleen’s horses got in on it and we even climbed a hill with sweeping views, where they celebrated with champagne and so many laughs. During the reception, the newlyweds let me steal them away for some sunset photos. And their reception was one of the most entertaining I’ve attended, with so many more laughs and shared moments between friends and family.
Ross and Carleen are such wonderful, easygoing people and that made their wedding day even better for both them and me. I loved capturing all those moments for them, without having to work too hard because they were all genuine.
It was a perfect day for a perfect couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
