Before I left Saskatchewan I was asked to shoot an extended family session. The best part about this session was although we got some posed shots of the families, we spent most of the evening at the playground where the kids played and I got to photograph them just having fun and being kids.
Nothing shows a child’s personality quite as strongly as letting them have control over what they are doing. These guys were having so much fun climbing, sliding and swinging that I didn’t have to direct them at all. It was so much fun, for me too!
I believe in letting kids be themselves. I don’t want to create images that show how they feel when they are being told to stand in one spot and smile for the camera. I want to show how funny they thought it was when their sister hung upside down from the jungle gym, or how high they could swing, or that their favourite part of the playground was the biggest slide. I don’t want them to even realize that I’m taking their photo. I believe that these photos mean so so much more than just a pretty portrait.
I can capture your child’s personality, contact me to book a session in the Fredericton/Oromocto, New Brunswick area by clicking here.

I have not checked in here for a while as I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are good
quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my everyday bloglist.
You deserve it friend :)
