Little Kayden was not in a rush to enter this world. I am pretty sure his mommy and daddy were getting a bit impatient as they waited for his arrival. As was I, because I knew I was going to get to take his picture!
After their maternity session on a stormy night, I was hoping for calmer weather for Courtney and Kyle’s little boy’s first photos. Mother Nature was on our side, and it was a perfect late summer afternoon.
I was invited to their home near Macrorie to meet six-day-old Kayden. He was sleeping quietly in the arms of one of his proud grandmothers when I arrived, and surrounded by more adoring family. We took advantage of his slumber to get some photos – and quiet time with mommy – in his sweet blue nursery.
Then we changed his clothes (the sweetest little overalls and penguin shirt!) and went outside for family photos. Their yard is so pretty with lots of trees that lent us the perfect amount of shade and light.
I loved meeting Kayden’s family, and I learned very quickly that he has a wonderful group of grandparents who love him, and will probably spoil him rotten! And of course I can’t forget to mention his parents, Courtney and Kyle, who love him so so much. He is one lucky boy. And I’m one lucky photographer to get to meet him and his family.
