If you follow me you have seen this boy before. You saw him in his mommy’s belly, as a tiny newborn and hanging out with the pumpkins at four months old. Sweet baby Floyd is not a baby anymore! He’s now officially a year old and he’s on the move!
There is not much I love more than watching kids grow up in front of my camera. I knew from the moment I met him when he was born that I would love taking Floyd’s photos. Now that he is a toddler, it’s even more fun because he makes the funniest faces and his big personality is so much fun to capture. He just makes me laugh, and when the photographer is laughing that’s gotta be a good session.
We didn’t need a fancy location for Floyd’s birthday session. We just hung out at the trail, where we have done photos for Jess and Heath many times before. It is pretty special to be able to carry on a tradition for them, so when they look back at their photos they can see how they grew and changed and became a family.
I also love how they brought along some of Floyd’s most favourite things, like his tractor, his quilt and of course his little elephant (although he would have been quite content to just play with rocks haha).
Ok, I am going to stop writing now so you can look at the photos! They make me smile, and I hope they make you smile too.
