Baby Floyd’s session was one of the easiest ones I’ve ever done. He was so sweet and calm through the whole thing. I am sure it had a lot to do with the fact that he was at home in familiar surroundings, and that his mom and dad were so relaxed.

Jessica and Heath were meant to be parents. I have known them for a while now, having shot their engagement session, their wedding and their maternity photos. And after all of that, this is the happiest I’ve ever seen them. Jessica was glowing and Heath was so proud. That tiny little person did something pretty special for them I think.

Newborn lifestyle sessions are so much fun for me because I get to see the nursery that had so much work put into it and it’s so easy to go from room to room using personal items and getting natural shots. I have done studio newborn sessions in the past, but now I would never go back to that. This means so much more. There’s no posing in front of a backdrop or worrying about studio lighting. I just find a window with some pretty natural light and get mom and dad to cuddle with their baby. There’s nothing better than seeing them cuddle and admire and just be with their baby.

Jessica and Heath, it has been so wonderful to be a part of your journey together and now as a growing family. I wish you nothing but happiness and love as you watch your little boy grow. I hope these images will help you hold on to these special moments because they go so so fast. Congrats again, love you guys!
